Katie began her career at Bukés and has been doing hair for over three years.  After highschool, Katie moved to California for college and realized that she wanted to pursue hairstyling. She graduated from Pivot Point Academy, began the apprentice program at the salon, and trained extensively with Lacy and Karen. It is obvious that Katie made the right choice, her natural talent and constant motivation make her an amazing hairdresser!

Katie enjoys working with clients to come up with styles invidualized to their needs.  She posesses an eye for detail, specializing in precision haircutting and unique color placement techniques (we even have a foiling technique named after one of her innovations!)  Her strengths include dimensional color, creative styling, and roundbrush blow-dry styles. In addition, Katie has advanced training in the CHI permanent straightening system and is beginning to take further education in makeup application.

As all of our staff would agree, Katie is a burst of energy in the salon.  She always has a new, fun idea to perk things up and you will rarely see her without a smile.  It is evident that she truly loves what she does.  Her creativity goes beyond just doing hair, Katie is also involved in the social media team at Bukés and has written articles for local newspapers representing Bukés!

Lash Tinting:   Bukes offers lash tinting, a 30 minute service, which eliminates the need for mascara.  This service is perfect for people with allergies, sensitive eyes, or limited time for makeup application.  Going on a summer vacation?  Ditch the water-proof mascara and opt for a lash tint instead!  (Celebrity Guilty Pleasure:  Jennifer Aniston tints her lashes!) 

LiLash Serum:  Grow and thicken your own lashes with a 3 month supply of LiLash serum.  The serum is applied daily (just like eyeliner) and is proven to add length and thickness within weeks (Ask Buke!  Her lashes are unreal!) While other competitive lash serums have been known to discolor eyes, LiLash will not change your existing eyecolor.

Temporary Lashes:  If you have an event or special occasion, temporary eyelashes are the perfect extra little touch.  We offer application of individual and strip lashes to complete your look.

Eyelash Extensions:  Eyelash extensions are an amazing way to instantly thicken and lengthen your own lashes.  We offer a variety of lengths to create anything from a more natural look to a complete dramatic change!  The process takes 1-2 hours and consists of bonding individual extensions to your own lashes.  After the initial application, "eyelash fills" are recquired every few weeks to maintain the look.

Kelli is a hairstylist and colorist at Bukes.  She has been doing hair for over 3 years and is constantly eager to learn and be challenged in her craft.  Kelli originally studied cosmetology here in the US but has expanded her knowledge internationally.  She studied cut and color trends in Paris and London through her schooling as well.

When it comes to hair, Kelli enjoys thinking outside of the box.  Whether it's cutting, avant-garde color, or trendy styles, she is always excited to "push the limits," and give her clients the most fashionable look.  She isn't afraid to try new hair colors (She had "Rihanna red" hair herself!) and has a following of loyal clients that love her fun ideas.

Beyond her artistic talent, Kelli is a friendly face around the salon.  She is always smiling and making her clients feel their very best.  She is an absolute sweetheart with a true passion for hairstyling!

Misael Aponte, a renowned colorist across the United States, will be sharing his inventive styles in the salon at the end of the month.  As a visionary, with his positive energy and artistic approach to hair color, he always leaves our staff motivated and inspired. “After being in the business for 30 years, I am astounded by that man,” says Mary Kay, a stylist at Bukés salon; a feeling I’m sure the rest can agree on!

Lacy is not only a friendly smile you see around our salon, but a stylist and teacher that leaves everyone coming back for more. Throughout her journey from Houston, Texas to Clarendon Hills, she has had various experiences that have helped shape who she is today. Now a network educator, she has mastered the advanced cutting, color, and styling classes for Bumble and Bumble in New York. Having 11 years of experience with Schwarzkopf in Chicago, New York, and Houston, she has gained advanced education in styling, color, and cutting trends that she applies daily.

For her, staying involved in this creative industry is how Lacy finds her constant inspiration. Having experienced fashion week at House of Bumble, a photo-shoot with Bumble and Bumble founder, Michael Gordon, and training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, she continues to surprise us with her skills and creativity.

Even with having all of this knowledge, her true talent is with the client. The moment she greets you, you know you are in good hands. Lacy has a way of making every experience a personal one. By getting to know you and your hair, she customizes her work to adhere to your personality, lifestyle, and taste. Having her clients leave our salon not only looking fabulous, but also feeling great, is her true passion.

Now, having been at Buke’s for 5 years, she is a Master stylist, Artistic Director, and our House Educator of the Apprentice Department. Lucky for us, Lacy loves to help other stylists in the industry strive to perfecting and developing their career path with the same motivation and love of hair.
